Sarge is installed on this Compaq Proliant 1500 (dual Pentium Pro 200) server. Fun fun fun time installing.
Turns out sarge isn't really designed to be easily installed on EISA-based systems, nor on systems which need bizarre parameters passed to modules needed for mounting the root volume at boot time.
Luckily, there are ways around this.
Fully Automatic Installation is a very cool tool for Debian, originally designed to automate the operating system installation on cluster machines. It's also really good for installing Debian on a large number of similar machines, like web servers, or a bank of workstations, where the set of installed packages, and their configuration, is nearly identical between machines, and the number of machines warrants automation. In short, it's perfect for any large, homogeneous (or nearly homogeneous) network.
Which, of course, is about the furthest thing you can imagine from the casa network.
Which, of course, is exactly why we're rolling it out on the casa network.

An easier way do distribute lisp applications, as fully contained worlds, starting automatically at boot time. Can be found on my sbcl page here.
Some slightly more cryptic stuff is available at my veryfresh site.
Also, landmines should sound like kittens. Kevin figures this idea may be good enough to justify starting up the weapons lab.
Also also, here is a version of Vim 6.4 for OS X.
